Want to give your artwork a striking border? Try using a makeup sponge! Yes, you heard me right. Who knew beauty tools could double as art supplies?

Here’s how to do it:

1. Dip a makeup sponge into your chosen paint color (I’m using red!).
2. Offload a little excess paint by dabbing it onto a paper towel.
3. Lightly dab the sponge along the edges of your piece.
4. Let it dry and, if needed, apply a second coat for a bolder effect.

This method is effortlessly chic and frames your artwork like a masterpiece hanging in a fancy gallery (or at least your living room!).

Creating Classic Stripes

Stripes add a fun, decorative touch and can easily complement the colors in your artwork.

To create stripes:

1. Grab a flat brush and some white paint.
2. Load your brush, then flip and flatten it against your palette to ensure smooth application.
3. Steady your hand by planting your pinky on your surface.
4. Swipe the brush in even strokes to create clean, crisp stripes.
